Does NOT clean pet hair from carpet or hand carved rugs. I bought this model because it is has poop detection and is "great for pet hair." I haven't had to test the "poop detection" thankfully, but all pet owners should know that unlike other Roomba models, the j7+ does not come with the automatic power boost when it hits carpet. And it has left all kinds of pet hair and debris behind on my area rugs. This is a huge fail for a vacuum that is specifically geared toward pet owners. The medium pile rug that my old Roomba 960 model used to flawlessly clean, now has dog hair still in it after three cleanings with this new model. If you have pets and carpet, or if you have anything other than low pile rugs on your hard floors (and don't want to have to replace them. DO NOT BUY the j7+. You will be deeply disappointed.
