To the point: Onyx Brands, the maker of Hard as Hoof, has gone to considerable trouble and expense to TRICK YOU into buying HALF the amount product that you think you’re buying. In other words, you’re only getting HALF of what you thought you bought. See images: I cut the Hard as Hoof retail container in half. The outer container is Part A. The sneaky inner container is Part B, which fits inside Part A and serves as a FALSE BOTTOM that makes you think you’re buying two times the amount of product you actually receive. This is an INTENTIONAL RIP-OFF. Background: I’m a male guitarist who needs strong fingernails. My primary instrument is acoustic guitar with steel strings. Instead of a pick/plectrum, I play finger style, relying on my right-hand fingernails to pluck and strum. I apply Hard as Hoof once daily, at night before going to sleep. I’ve been using it for a year and see obvious improvement in nail strength. On the downside, my nails seem to be more brittle now (less resilient and more prone to major cracking/chipping) but they DO stand up better to playing steel guitar strings.
