I bought this to replace my original of the same make and model that I’ve had for years - and boy have things gone down hill in just a few years! Gone is the extended soft grip on the handle and in its place is a shorter grip that leaves the inside of your thumb to get scratched against the plastic handle. The entire thing feels lighter and less sturdy. The rubber on the grabber is harder and not nearly as good at picking up smaller items as the softer more pliable rubber on the old model was. There is now audible rattle in the arm where the wire hits against the edges from the inside. And the worst part is that the trigger now sticks and doesn’t always return to place. This feels like cheap knock off of what was once a 5 star product. I’m so disappointed by these changes to cut costs but keep the premium price. Don’t buy this model. It’s a waste of money. I’ll be looking in to other brands in the hopes that one of them is better than this disappointment.
