This product would be fine if you didn't have to actually carry it with your pet inside, but since this is specifically for airport travel I would not recommend. I traveled from Newark to Atlanta and back on Delta flights carrying my 20lb (I got the large version of the carrier), 7 month old Jack Russel mix puppy in this carrier. After the first leg of the trip, the carrier basically fell apart. There are some white things that go across the top of it to keep it stable, but they made holes in the carrier and came out of place. On the way out of the Atlanta airport I had to put them back. Coming back to Newark the holes were even bigger from use (this is only the second time i've used it) and there basically was no fixing it. Overall would not recommend - definitely look at a different carrier if you don't have a <15lb dog.
