I've always liked the Cuisinart brand..... until I got their toaster. It doesn't toast evenly. If you need to set it darker for muffins, it doesn't even go to the number 6, it stops at 5. The toast/ muffins do not pop up high, as my old toaster did. There's play in the control knob. I have only had this toaster for about 6 weeks. Not happy with your toaster Cuisinart!
