I recently ordered both the 28 and 24 inch pieces in orange and traveled to the Caribbean. The luggage looks great and is very functional. It is also very light and easy to transport. But, upon arriving at our destination (one way direct flight), both suitcases had black scratches along the exterior. Although I realize that semi-hard and hard shell cases can scratch, I was not expecting it to be this bad after one short flight. As a well-known luggage manufacturer, I question Samsonite's judgment in utilizing material that seems more susceptible to scratching. Based upon the poor decision regarding the polycarbonate exterior, I would not recommend this luggage (unless you do not care what your luggage looks like after use).
