I was so thrilled to get this bike. I put it together carefully (I used to do this for Trek so it wasn't my first rodeo), and took off down my street for the maiden voyage. Within 800 feet of my driveway the cheap plastic chain guard, prowheel brand, shattered into six pieces, cut my legs, the chain froze and I went end over end. This bike feels like it could be so great...until you see how much of it is plastic. Buyer beware. Update, 8/19/18. Amazon was so gracious with their resolution, they sent me the same bike AND refunded my money. I excitedly assembled it...and watched the front disc brake crumple like paper as I applied light pressure to it, relying on the rear to slow down on a gentle curve. I went headlong into some bushes and pavement. Braking twisted the front fork too. I would show an image of that too but I stripped and repackaged the bike. It's going back to Amazon tomorrow. Mongoose and Pacific, you should be ashamed of yourselves for selling cheap bikes under a once noble name, destroying that name, and having such helpless customer support. You'll never see a dime from anyone I have the ability to influence for the rest of my life.
