I had high hopes for this shoe as I have loved my ASICS in the past and the reviews were decent enough. The problem with ASICS anymore is that they too frequently change the model and the newer version not only has a different fit, but is downright uncomfortable. With the Gel-Kayano 24, the first time I wore them on the treadmill, my toes went numb! This is likely due to the fact that the toe box is so narrow. I ordered a size up as I always have with ASICS and the shoe fits but that's just not enough. There is also no stability with these and my feet practically wobble when I wear them. I have neutral arches and these have no noticeable arch support. My ASICS GT-1000 4 shoes had great arch support and all around fit, but of course they changed that model too and the newer model gets very poor reviews. I've worn ASICS for more than 10 years and loved them. Sadly, that changed with this shoe and I have now purchased other brands. Note to ASICS: Please don't change the fit on great models. If it's not broken, don't fix it. I really liked ASICS shoes and it's unfortunate to have to switch brands after all these years. Marketing can focus on other things like color or testimonials. If it's to save costs, I think you do yourselves a disservice because you lose loyal customers.
