I bought this vacuum approximately 10 months ago to use in a 1200 sq ft townhome with hardwood floors downstairs and carpet upstairs. I was quite impressed when it first arrived. It had a very strong suction and seemed to pick up everything in sight (and not in sight). Now, less than a year later, the suction quality is so poor that it does not even suck up lose dirt from the hardwood floors. Grant it, I do have 2 small dogs, and though small, I do vacuum daily to keep dog hair out off of my floors and furniture. I have watched all of the videos and followed all of the instructions for cleaning the filters and checking for clogs in order to restore suction, and nothing has worked. Now, after only 10 months of use, I am looking to replace it. If you have an extra small space and rarely need to use a vacuum, then this one might be the one for you. If you truly use your vacuum regularly, do yourself a favor and go for a more durable brand and model. I bought this for Shark’s reputation for making quality vacuums, and, unfortunately, am quite disappointed.
