I have purchased and read every Gabriel Allon book written. I even made friends into fans of Daniel Silva. But once he decided to write a book to express his political views, he has lost me forever. Luckily, this book seems to be setting the stage for the exit of Allon anyway, so I won't be missing anything. The book is full of rhetoric against Trump supporters and incorporates, albeit minimally, COVID-19. I'm tired of both and feel betrayed by Silva in this book. As an author, he should remember that all of his fans need to be entertained, not just the liberals. RIP one of my favorite series.
