I’ve purchased Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Bar AND Liquid Tea Tree Soap for the past year from Target, Ulta, GNC and even sometimes Walmart. Recently, these stores have been out of stock or not selling this version anymore. Having Amazon Prime, I figured looking here would be the next best option (did not even consider the actual Dr. Bronner’s page at the time) to get my favorite product in a quick time frame. I was mistaken clearly. After receiving 6 whole bars of this soap, I gave one a try! First thing I noticed was the odd smell. REAL Dr. Bronner’s has an overwhelming fresh Tea Tree smell, this product however smells similar to clay. Putting the smell aside, I began washing my face with the product. I started to realize a minute into my face wash that the consistency of the product and how it made my face feel was not similar whatsoever to the actual Dr. Bronner’s soap. Usually when using Tea Tree Bar Soap my face feels super dry (which I like because my face is oily) but this product felt like I didn’t even wash my face. As far as the consistency, the bar of soap melted in my hands within minutes of being in the shower. I started to become skeptical and immediately went online to order the same soap from the Dr. Bronner’s website. Once the REAL soap came in, I used it the same amount of times as the other bar. So I could compare them side by side. Before even using my REAL soap, I noticed the completely different shade of colors in the soap. This was extremely alarming. What have I been washing my face with and what did I buy a 6 month supply of? Also the biggest question is who is fulfilling these products? The products says it is from Dr. Bronner’s but when receiving the package the return label was from some weird company that was unable to be traced by google.
