My wife and I were extremely exciting buying this iRobot Roomba 980 for our new house! The idea seemed too good to be true. Well, we got it and fired it up. All in excitement watching it work its way all over our open-floor, there it went to the kitchen vacuuming all the dust it could see. All of a sudden a NASTY HUGE CIRCULAR STRAIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR EYES. Only in the most visible part of the kitchen on the left of the island. We immediately shut it off and picked it up. We called our flooring guy and he touched up the scratch. We thought it was something it picked it up and decided to keep using it as it did not leave any other visible scratches anywhere in that round. Unfortunately, this just got worse and worse. Every time we left the Roomba running while away, we would find a new scratch on our brown hardwood floows. EVERYWHERE. There are over 25 scratches on our floors now. MOST PERFECTLY STRAIGHT, DEEP, 1-3 FEET LONG! Contacting iRobot as I'm writing this and will be uploading pictures tonight! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU HAVE DARK HARDWOOD FLOORS!
