★☆☆☆☆
Poorly constructed, waistband separates from garment when you put them on.
*UPDATE - As of today, 7/6/2018, all 7 pairs have now fallen apart and have been thrown out. There are both design and quality issues here. Design: the waistband rolls over itself every time. It is almost 1.5" wide. I would prefer it to be about 1", and (MUCH) softer--it is stiff and digs in uncomfortably when you bend over or sit. Amazon, if you are listening: please soften the waistband. It is rough on the skin on both sides. The quality issue is a much bigger problem and involves the stitching attaching the waistband to the body: it isn't strong. This is the hallmark of cheaply made goods: seams that separate. Quality goods use a double or triple row of stitching to attach the body to the waistband, and may even have an integrated seam, meaning, the body is integrated into (between two layers of) the waistband, or at the least have folded over the body material at the attachment point to increase strength. This is not the case here, and these are cheaply made junk. The stitching holding the body fabric onto the waistband has broken on all 7 pairs now (most after 1-3 wearings/washings). When that thread breaks, it eventually unravels all the way around. These are poorly made. All 7 pairs have now been tossed as they have become completely unwearable (see photo). The fabric the body is constructed from starts off thick with a very soft hand, and feels softer than what you get with Hanes, or even CK, but it shrinks a LOT in the wash--like 25% and seems to thin out a lot (losing volume in the wash--meaning the cotton part of the material is essentially dissolving in the wash, leaving only the non-cotton components). That's a LOT. More than any other underwear I have ever owned. Most manufacturers use pre-washed/pre-shrunk fabric for briefs--this is clearly not the case here. This actually contributes to the stitching problem: the body shrinks and the material thins as it sheds volume over washings, but the waistband, being elastic, does neither of these things. This stresses the seam attaching it to the waistband, and because the material it is attached to has lost volume/thinned, the point of attachment becomes weaker. I am disappointed. I prefer my underwear to not dismantle themselves after only one or two wearings. :( *Update 5/2018: I have now tossed six of them for this reason. These are not put together well AT ALL. Added photo of separated seam. I cannot recommend these. Do not buy this item. *UPDATE - As of today, 7/6/2018, all 7 pairs have now fallen apart and have been thrown out.
