maltodextrin in this; are you sensitive to the "new corn"?
Digestive enzymes are helpful and necessary. I can empathize with many grateful comments in these reviews. Other companies, such as Source Naturals, NOW, or Swanson, for example, also provide digestive enzymes equally helpful, in my opinion. You might like those.. You might be helped by those. This Life Extension (brand name) product label lists as follows: enzymes amylase, protease, lipase, lactase, cellulase, and whole papaya. However, the label also lists: vegetable cellulose (capsule), rice flour, MALTODEXTRIN, vegetable sterate.. Please correct my comments if I am wrong here, but, last time I checked, maltodextrin isn't a digestive enzyme. It is used as a sweetener in processed desserts. Maltodextrin is derived from starch such as corn. It is possible to be sensitive to maltodextrin or, they tell me, to the starch (corn, potatoes...) from which it is derived.... Many years ago (1950's and 1960's) the great nutritional information pioneer Adelle Davis wrote about the misery caused by poor digestion. Today we are able to get digestive enzymes and probiotics to help us. Many brands of digestive enzymes are available. Fortunately, not every brand has maltodextrin added. If this brand helps you without giving you other problems, o k. As for me, I find I'm sensitive probably to the maltodextrin. Product adds problems. I won't buy this again. Disappointed the company cluttered their product with this additive.
