Literal fire hazard and yet they want me to fix it...
Note: this is my first negative review of a product: The treadmill came with cosmetic damage, (1st image) but was useable. After 2 months of owning the treadmill, and using it, the treadmill made a weird clunking noise while being walked on, the belt became difficult to move, then it stopped and read E02. I turned the treadmill over for melted plastic fibers to fall out. It’s also smelled of melted plastic at that point, and trying to get it to work again was pointless, as every time I stepped on the belt it would drag to the point of stopping. So it’s useless.
But see, that’s when the nightmare began. I couldn’t find any customer service contact info, so I went through the backup insurance I had purchased, which then said it was still under warranty, and gave me the sellers contact info (their website was completely down). I emailed them to no response, and then had to go through Amazon to get them to respond. Now their response has been to send me the most vague instructions possible for literally becoming a treadmill mechanic (including my new favorite phrase, ‘find a No. 5 battery’) and completely ignored the part where I mentioned melted plastic pieces fell out of the treadmill. I’m still working with them to attempt to get my money back for a functionless machine that now gets to be a fun tear apart construction project on my day off, for a machine that is likely a fire hazard at this point. I’ll be going back to Amazon to see if they cannot get the seller to refund me, but until then, I leave this review that others know to stay away from purchasing this.
