I just brought my newborn home from the hospital. The Vornado AVH10 arrived today and I set it up in her room. A burning plastic smell immediately filled the nursery. I touched the heater and the back was painfully hot. I unplugged it and turned it around and saw the plastic housing literally melting (see picture). I can't believe how terrible of a product Vornado makes. If I wasn't paying attention I could have possibly lost my precious three week old child. I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau because a heater shouldn't literally melt in front of my eyes and fill my house with the fumes of melting plastic. Shame on your quality control Vornado and shame on Amazon for selling such a dangerous product!
