My hope is that this review will help you pick the right baseplate! I tried three brands and have a clear favorite, Brickyard Building Blocks. My recommendation is to stay away from the other two brands except for a few exceptions. At the time of writing this review the price for all three was comparable, so I did not take this into account. See my two photos. These illustrate the advantages that Brickyard has over Lekebaby and Apostrophe. 1) plate thickness- only Brickyard is the same thickness as a regular LEGO plate piece. This also means that the Brickyard plates are thicker, sturdier, and more flat. 2) backside of the plate- only Brickyard baseplate can connect to other bricks on the bottom-side. While I haven’t taken advantage of this feature yet, this would allow you to use the baseplate as floors/ceilings if you wanted. The only reason I would buy Apostrophe is because they make nice road pieces. But the Lekebaby plates are being returned. Hope this helps!
