Game play does *not* seem honest but beautiful graphics/drawings. [includes my update since last review]
I downloaded it and installed it the same day, and within 3 minutes of opening it, I fell in love with the graphics/drawings. Whomever did the art for this game - they need to take their talents into actual game systems (PS3/Xbox..etc). They will have a well deserved career in it. I'm on level 13; almost to level 14. I've purchased 2 territories with earned coins, $6.00 worth in crystals (voluntarily) and $3.00 worth in coins (also voluntarily - that I didn't use to purchase territories). I didn't need to purchase anything, but wanted to because I loved this game right off the bat. I have not upgraded, even though, it asks me to every time I start. (I've read where others had issues, so I have decided not to upgrade right now) -Sound: fits the 'time frame' of the game/storyline. Birds chirping and instrument sounds. -Storyline: pops up when you complete all quests and/or move on to open other areas of the map. I will be honest, I skimmed through most of it, by tapping the screen. -Graphics: beautiful, eye pleasing. Although on my Kindle Fire HD, zooming into it, makes the moveable objects (walking cats) look a little fuzzy. -Crystals/Gems: you earn them in this game, and not just one, every blue moon. I've earned at least 10 within my first day of playing. (I played for about 2 hours first day). All in all, out of all the crystals, I've earned about 15, and I've played for about 3 days. -You can sell/trade the things you've found/earned throughout game play, for food, stone, gems..etc. if you really need it. I have learned with this game, although it's like most games where you can purchase gems/crystals and coins, you don't really have to, to play this game. The game play is pretty fast, unlike most games like this, where you have to wait hours for something to build, upgrade or even for production. The only thing I've noticed, thus far, that takes time, is the castle money production, which is only 45 minutes to start, and the time does increase as you increase in levels, but so does the money as you upgrade. The game set up does remind me a lot of 'The Tribez', but is a lot better. A LOT better (my opinion). Graphics, sound and just overall game play, with not having to use real money. Also, there isn't that repeated crashing!! I haven't researched which company made their version first, but in all honesty, I love this game so much better regardless. In this game, you get to purchase bonus items (with crystals) to help you produce items like food, rocks, wood..etc faster with a 5% or 10% increase, permanently, unlike in the 'The Tribez' where it only lasts for however long and then goes away. In this game, the items stay because their objects and they do actually work. There is a building you must have (guild of builders) to produce items that you'll need for activities and production. tip included: I learned really fast, that if you don't watch it, you'll spend your earned coins very fast. You have to strategize your moves in this game, if you don't, you'll end up having to wait for certain things (or purchase coins via market) to get back on track - that's what I did when I first started, and why I purchased coins. I didn't have to though. I could have waited 20 minutes, but didn't want to. :) In all honesty, I can tell that this game is not set up to take your real money. Even if you have an issue with waiting, this game doesn't have a long wait on things, to cause that to be a problem. The only thing I see is the problem for me, is there are things I'd love to get, but cost crystals/gems (which cost real money) but I don't need them to play the game fully (or I can just wait until I earn enough crystals, to get them later) .. it's just something I'd love to get/do because I love the game. You can tell they put love into this game. Even if this game were to come off the free mark, it's still worth the purchase. [[[UPDATED 2/13/14]]] This game stole over $20.00 from me, including gems/diamonds, coins and time. I deleted it months ago, but just now had the time to update my review. I love the graphics, but in all reality, this game is definitely set up to steal from you. Beware. I had the same issue as most (if not all) have had... you get to a point, and wham; all gone. **And I did not even update like most have.**
