I am sad to say I bought two of these for a family member's front and back doors. This item is easily moved when you try to open the door when it is installed. I did not have to push very hard at all, and it did not hold the door secure nor closed at all. I tried this item simply because of the Brinks name, not to mention it said "commercial door security bar". I am not a strong person and for me to be able to move the bar and push the door open, well lets just say it was not worth the money !! I guess I will donate it to someone to use on their sliding door where it can be laid down like a regular old stick. A good solid wooden chair holds much better at a door than these ever will. Simply put, this purchase was very disappointing.
