I finished the book so it is readable - however I was very aware of the writing style. As an author myself constructive discussion is appreciated so here goes. Many new authors now feel that they need to "write down" to the audience - writing at a 5th grade reading level in sentences that rarely go over 10-12 words. I know many instructors of new authors tout this style as the best and only way to write fiction - NOT AT ALL. The story line here was good, characters believable but I hated, hated, hated feeling like I was being talked down to in tiny sentences. I hope this author will take what is obviously a gift of story telling and expand learning of how to write "Great Sentences"!
