I like the idea of the additional carbon filtration of this model over the older one-stage version, but the additional $20 price over the one-stage model seemed like a hefty premium. I decided to go ahead and purchase this model in spite of the much higher price tag. When the bottle arrived, I was pretty excited to try it out, only to find that the bottle I received was missing the carbon capsule. The filter unit clearly had a space for the capsule, but none was included in my package. I exchanged it for a new unit, and sure enough, when I received the second unit it was also missing the carbon capsule. Now I'm not sure of these bottles are actually supposed to come with the carbon capsule, or they expect you to also pony up the additional $12 for the carbon capsules after already paying the much higher price for the 2-stage filter to begin with. Either way, I'm done with this. I am going with the Saywer filter bottle instead. If you are purchasing this unit beware - you might not actually receive the carbon capsules that you are paying an extra $20 for.
