False advertising,
Do not buy this unit.!!
. First things first, do not buy into the whole plasma thing. There is nothing else in this unit except a hepa filter and a large scotchbrite pad they are calling a carbon filter. It is not a carbon filter.
If you look through the front with filters off you see the fan squirrel cage, if you look down the back you see the other side of that cage. There is no uv light no nothing after the filter.
Hepa filter will help clear dust. Small particles in the air. But that is it. Wont do anything with smells or bacteria or anything else that they claim it does. I tested the carbon filter in distilled water. And did a white rub off test. As i suspected nothing happened. A true carbon filter will break apart in water. A infused carbon will release small carbon particulate, and will leave black carbon on any surface when rubbed across it.
The only way to reduce bacteria and pathogens in this manner is with ultraviolet.
What this unit is claiming is wrong.
If you want to just re filter the air in your home you can find way cheaper ways. And if your home has central heat/ac you already have this type of filtration,
Im returning this unit now
