This mat and others like it sound like a great idea. But what they don't tell you is how difficult it can be to get a 200lb treadmill onto this mat properly. I easily ripped two holes in it while moving the treadmill around, see first photo. There's also the problem that contrary to what they advertise, these mats don't do anything to help protect carpet. A 200lb machine, with a 200lb person on it will smash and rub holes in your carpet just the same as without the mat. After using this trashy mat for less than a week, I went and did what I should have done in the first place. I went to home depot, had a nice piece of plywood cut, and put my treadmill on that. See second photo. For nearly the same price, it's 100x sturdier, and 10x easier to get the machine onto.
