Got one more channel that I couldn't get before....
Update #2: I depend on the Amazon reviews being accurate when I am evaluating products. After posting my edit below I thought it over and decided that this company deserves a no star rating. The product is a 3 star but the company is a zero star rating because they offered me free product to change my rating.
Adding an update: As mentioned below this is a OK antennae and I gave it a "3" rating, a "C". But, it is WAY overpriced compared to competition (my opinion) based upon 2 other antennas I have both of which are sold for under $10. The reason I ordered this antennae was the sky high 5 star rating. I now know (my opinion) why this antennae has a sky high rating. After posting the review below I got an email from the company offering to send me 2 free units if I changed my rating from a "3" to a "5"......
Note that I sent to their Customer Service: "I have had 2 other HD antennas from other companies but have had trouble getting VHF hi channels (7). I am 17.8 to 30.4 miles from the towers as you can see from my address : XXXXXXXXX. I tried mounting the other 2 antennas plus your antenna at the top of my attic (under the roof) which put them almost 30-35 ft above ground level. This should have dropped my path to LOS or 1Edge (from Edge2) for most all channels including 7. But, that gives me probably 45-50 feet of coax to my TV. (my house is only 7 years old so coax should be OK). With all 3 antennas, the best I could do was 20 channels. It made no difference whether I used amplifiers or not (on all 3 antennas).
When I hooked up the antennas directly to the TV and hung high in the nearest window (8 footers), again, I got 17-20 channels but no channel 7 on any of the 3. Adding the amplifiers lowered the channel counts. I then just leaned the antenna up against the window sill which is 1 foot off the floor. Distance to the TV is about 13 feet. For some unknown reason I can get channel 7 with your antenna plus the normal 20 channels. I could not get 7 on the other antennas. It isn't great reception on channel 7 but it is the local Fox channel and (of course) the only NFL game that I would want to watch would be on Fox. I should mention that channel 7 is the real channel and not a virtual channel. Also amplifiers reduced channel counts when antenna was on the sill. Any suggestions to further improve channel 7 ?? "
Postscript: This unit costs 2- 3 times more than the other antennas that I was using but it did give me the channel I was looking for. Their reception for VHF Hi channels appear better than the others I have used. I did get a response from their Customer Service but they didn't have any additional suggestions to improve reception.
