Has anyone else who bought this unit noticed the pungent toxic odor that comes from the white plastic filter housing? If I lift it up off the glass reservoir, the plastic smell just wafts up and hits me hard. That can't be good. And the water that comes out of the spigot smells like that same pungent epoxy plastic smell also. The whole point of ordering this top of the line filter supposedly made out of glass and stainless steel is to avoid chemicals, yet here we are. This is like a joke. All the other zero water plastic pitcher filters never smelled like plastic. But this glass one does. The white plastic part on it feels really thin and cheap, like it's made out of recycled plastic bottles and REAKS of chemicals. If anyone has access to a lab, it would be very interesting to get this filter tested for what horrid chemicals it leaches into our drinking water.
