PARENTS/GUARDIAN BEWARE! I just wrote this to the publisher. I bought this book for my 8 year old granddaughter. No where in any of your (or where your book is being sold) is the mention of a story about a transgender child. As I support the LGBTQ community, I do not support a book that is recommended for a child of 5, 6, or 7 to introduce this unless the parent/guardian is fully aware. This subject, like sexual intercourse or how one gets pregnant needs to be left up to the parent/guardian of the child. My eight year old read this to my 6 year old granddaughter. This is extremely confusing to them as they are not ready for this information. I strongly suggest that the story of Coy be brought to the buyer’s attention before it causes emotional confusion to a child. I am terribly disappointed in this.
