I wish movie producers would recognize that people are smarter and more imaginative than they give credit. This could have been a great series without all the violence, gore, profanity and even nudity and sex. Let the audience come to the conclusion, you don't have to show us everything. The greatest movies allow the audience to fill in the gaps. John Krasinki's "The Quite Place" is a perfect example of this. Here you had a classic scary/horror movie that didn't have any profanity, minimal violence & gore (yes there was blood), but it allowed the audience to fill in the gaps without being condescending. Unfortunately the story-line was lack luster too. It was intriguing initially to see the discoveries that Jack was making but there was no depth to the story. Just your typical "shoot 'em up" terrorist action movie. I watched through half of episode 3 and then had enough. It's a shame they didn't just create a pilot, get audience feedback, and then conclude with the series to make it great.
