This is a review of what happens when a kindle product (in this case a Kindle Keyboard) goes wrong. There is no service by email. If you are abroad a phone call will cost an absolute fortune, owing to the tech support being slow and not well informed. They do not offer any kind of discounted price once the product is a year old, so if you like Kindle you are probably best to stick with the cheapest, don't bother to call if anything goes wrong that cannot be fixed be by a reboot. Half my screen went totally inactive and just showed the shut down image. I do think considering we buy books from Kindle for these devices they should offer better service and at least a discount when one of their machines craps out when it is not long after warranty. I goT that kind of service from Garmin on a car navigator and thought it was a much better way of keeping customers. If you read the reviews screen problems are common. The tech people should know about them, not have you reboot three times on an overseas call.
