The SimpliSafe Security system worked in my home for 5 months and then I had continuous problems with reception. I would spend hours each evening attempting to make a connection with the command center to activate my security system. When speaking with a SimpliSafe representative I was informed that reception was best when Verizon or Horizon cell phone systems were prominent in the area of use. These systems are not predominant in my area and I was not informed of this at the time of purchase. Reception continued to be spotty and of very poor quality and rarely did I have a connection with the command center. I was finally forced to shut down the system and when I requested a refund and a return of the system to SimpliSafe my request was denied. I was informed that because I had purchased the system thru a "third Party" - meaning Amazon - I did not qualify for a refund. I am not happy with this system or with SimpliSafe and I will not recommend their product to anyone. I do not understand why I do not qualify for a refund when SimpliSafe has an agreement with Amazon to carry their product to the public.
