The reason I purchased this mobile phone mount is to install it on the dashboard of the car. The installation was straight-forward and the mount worked fine for about 3 weeks. Then, one morning I found the mount on the floor of the car and just a blob of adhesive glue on the dashboard. Half the glue circle ran down the dash (see attached picture) and the plastic ring that was bonded to the glue separated. It seems to me that the adhesive used on this product does not stand up to the heat associated with car dashboards - and it hasn't even been that hot so far, here in Southern California.
