I was a proud owner of this very ingenious litter box. The idea is wonderful, but the construction is very poor. Within two months, the filtering grate developed a crack where it bends and as a result, no longer stays in place. I emailed Omega Paw twice for warranty service (to get a new filtering grate) and after a week of waiting, never got a response. It's great that the box has a one year warranty, but if you can't get the company to honor it, it's only worth is bait (for consumers to buy their products). Update May 21, 2015: 10 days after I emailed Omega Paw, I received an email from a Mr. Scott informing me that they would send me a replacement grate -- that was April 17. On May 2, I contacted Mr. Scott to find out whether they had sent me the grate. It's now May 21 and I still haven't received it. I emailed him again today and am awaiting a status report. It's been a total of 45 days since my initial contact.
