Not puncture resistant, unlikely to prevent viper bites.
Nice gaiters, however I would not rely on them for snake bite protection. We work in areas with constant rattlers, copperheads, and water mocs on our job sites and always test our gaiters with large fish hooks that match the profile of snake fangs. We only use chaps that pass that test. These failed miserable as they didn't stop the hooks from easily penetrating, nor are they effective against greenbriar thorns. Comfy, but we won't be assigning them to our field teams for snake bite protection.
