I am writing this review to prevent people from the same mistake I made. I have had laser hair removal on my armpits and bikini area and bought this hoping to get similar results on my legs. I bought this product for myself as a holiday present in Dec 2011. I followed the intructions exactly. I though it maybe was helping, and I was willing to repeat the process forever until the hair was gone. But since I have a scientific background, I decided to do casual experiment instead. So I treated my left leg only, and left my right leg alone, for six treatments. THen I counted the number of hairs within a 2x2 area on each leg. Now this was after the initial 6 week treatment on both legs, but I really could not tell if it was doing anything. Yes some hairs fell out, but did they come back? And will more fall out with more treatments? Well the short answer is after six more treatments, there was only a very slight difference between my left leg and my right leg. This product can not deliver the smooth skin shown on the models on the box. THe hair IS slightly less dense. But so what? I still have to shave just as often, had to buy THREE cartriges (they do not last nearly as long as stated), and now have this dumb machine taking up space in my home after wasting $250 on it. Also- disposal of the cartriges in an environmentaly responsible manner takes an extra effort. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
