I placed it in the shower over the drain as indicated and over night a dark stain developed where the drain was and also in other spots. I poured bleach on the spots and also down the drain which was not clogged and rinsed thoroughly with hot water. The spots came back after one evening and I tried a bathroom cleaner because the spots were rust colored now and not dark brown/black. I think that I would be better getting a cheap outdoor mat at the store.
