Air conditioner worked well for about 1 week. After that, it no longer blew very cold air but managed to keep my 300 sq ft apartment reasonably cool. However, after about 10 months of intermittent use (I live in NYC and kept it off during 3-4 winter months) the “cool” setting has stopped working entirely. Whenever it is turned on, it makes an ear splitting buzzing noise. From my research, this means there is possibly a dangerous electrical problem. Now, I’m about to face NYC’s hottest summer months with nothing but a very expensive fan in my window. Very very disappointed in this Amazon appliance, especially given that there is no warranty and no contact info for any type of repair.
