YOU HAD ONE JOB!!! After spending far too much time looking through a sea of can openers, we came across this beautiful modern spin of a classic piece of human ingenuity. Majestic in it's glory, this essential invention has been mastered and refined by the world's brightest engineers over a great spanse of time and history. It's functional nature is responsible for leading mankind out from the depths of a dark world ridden with spoiled food, decay, and short product shelf life... a world only suitable only for beasts and prehistoric cavemen. It's creation ushering in a beautiful new life for it's human creators, a life where consumables are able to retain their original tastiness for weeks, months and even years... for without the inception of the can opener, how would we have ever figured out how to open a single can? After a stringent process of elimination, we settled on this modern iteration of our favorite classic. With it's easy grips handles, larger size, and that absolutely stunning extra large crank, that even the strongest of critics could not shy away from, it was clear to us that we had found our match. A cool $15 and two prime days later, we were the proud new owners of this modern marvel. It was hard to hold back the sheer excitement and power one feels when holding it in their hands, like the Infinity Gauntlet of tin. There was not a can in sight that was safe from the destructive opening power we now possessed. The world was in our finger tips, and nothing was going to stop us! Except for one minor detail.... this can opener does not open cans. As you can clearly see in our documented account, despite it's flashy good looks, large proportions, and it's empty promises to fulfill all of our wildest can fantasies... it exceedingly fails to do the one thing can openers have been doing since the dawn of their creation. We are now left in a heartbreaking scenario, our dreams crushed, our cans sealed tightly, we must now turn our backs and move on. Several attempts to open just one can, failed over and over again. This was not human error, this was just a bad design or a flawed unit that made it through quality control. It was not even able to break through the can's lid seal, a lid seal that our previous cheap can opener had been conquering for many years. When clamping down on the can lid, the handle will get stuck inside itself, forcing you to have to pry it apart. If you worked at it extra hard, and finally managed to break the can seal, the crank would not work properly and just jolt and stutter then fall out of position with every attempt... see the video. We had high hopes for this, and we were thoroughly let down... look elsewhere, this is not high quality, it's cheaply made, and just flat out doesn't work. We're canning this one and will be back on the lookout for a quality product that will do the one thing it's intended to do. You can thanks us later.
