Bought DDR55H/F at the end of Sep 2014. I recorded onto the hard drive only and it worked fine for about three weeks. Then it stopped recording. We would schedule a recording, but the next day the screen would be blank. I called tech support only to have them talk me through an attempt to record. When that didn't work I was given a ref # and told to try again and call if it still didn't work. When I called back asking for a new machine they told me my warranty was out of date. Sep to Oct and it's out of date! Then he said that they will send me a refurbished one to replace my new but broken one. OK, I received the refurbished machine and tried to record with it but it too did not work. I called tech support and went through the same crap as the last time. She even told me the warranty was expired. They must tell everyone that to get them to accept a refurbished machine. She said it was the policy of Magnavox. I told her I was returning it to Wallmart. Lucky for me I was still within their 90 return policy, so they also refunded me the three year warranty I paid for but did not use. The machine is junk, and Magnavox is worse than no help. If you buy this machine buy the extended warranty (not from Magnavox) and if it breaks take it back to the store, do not waste your time calling Magnavox.
