This used to be the best woolen clog money could buy… until Haflinger switched from a black rubber sole that apparently scuffed hard floors, to a beige rubberized plastic one. I didn’t mind the black rubber soled version, but recently I bought my 5th pair (over 8-9 years) and wound up w. the beige sole. The clogs worked out well until the heel and toe sole areas got ‘polished’ by walking on our carpets and are now so slick that they’re unsafe to wear in the house. No grip whatsoever! These clogs would be great for rough back country trails, but when they get slicked up by household carpet use (I mean they’re intended to be slippers, right?) they become hazardous. I wish I could return them, but think it’s too late now. So I’m writing this to warn others. If I buy another pair, they'd need to be the black, rubber soled version. >>> As you can see in the attached photo, the soles are highly polished by normal use. If they weren't so slick, they'd last years more, but now I need to buy something else.
