I was really in love with this chainsaw until it quit working after a few hours’ use. It has plenty of power and the battery lasted an unbelievably long time. I had just loaded the third battery, filled the oil and started to cut when it just stopped. Took the bar and chain completely off and tried to energize, it struggles just to barely turn the chain sprocket with zero load. Seems like a motor issue. Anyway, as much as I love it I can’t recommend it. Update 4/5/19 - Took it apart to find where the problem was. It wasn't hard for a mechanical / electrical engineer to find. A 6mm needle roller bearing on the 1st output shaft failed. Pictures attached. The disturbing thing is that it appears there was no lubrication in or around this bearing at all. For others who experience this problem, the bearing is part number is HK 0608 (6mm ID, 10mm OD, 8mm length). This bearing can be found on the internet for about $6 for those of you who (will) experience the same and are savvy enough to tear into it to fix it.
