This product is either poorly designed, badly manufactured, or both. I bought it to extend the range of my Actiontec GT784WN (which I am very happy with, by the way). Setup and wireless connection to my existing wifi network was easy. Access to the webpage was a breeze. The webpage suggested I download a software update, which I did. Unfortunately, the extender continually drops connections. The connection with the modem is green and rock-solid. My devices are constantly being dropped. Netflix is impossible to watch. It is even difficult to use my Samsung Galaxy. I read a few of the 1-star ratings before I ordered the device. I understand that not everyone is tech-savvy and that can cause problems, but as a retired R&D guy with 20 years experience in the wireless business, I tend not to worry about those reviews. I was very encouraged by by what I assume was Netgear's customer service team to email the company for support. After experiencing problems, I emailed them with a detailed description of my situation over a week ago, using the email address provided in the review comments, and I haven't received even an automated acknowledgement. Following this review, I intend to begin the return process. I recommend against purchasing this product.
