The iPad wasn’t even dropped and the screen ended up cracked. I bought this for my 15 year old son’s brand new iPad because apparantly otter box has not made a defender case for the iPad 7 and this one looked like the most protective of the choices available. My 15 year old is a very responsible kid, I haven’t seen him drop a device since he was 9. If you’re needing a case to protect an iPad from younger kids or toddlers who throw them, don’t get this one. ***************************************************Editing 12/1/19 to add that replacing the screen on my sons iPad 7 was almost $175. We had to wait two weeks because replacement screens were backordered (vendors had just started selling them). In the meantime I finally found an Otterbox Defender at Target for $90 that was available for pickup the same day. The next time we need to replace a tablet I won’t be buying anything unless Otterbox has released a case for it.
