I used to be a believer, but can't ignore the warning signs.
When I say I was a believer, I don't mean I worshipped the man or anything. I just really liked his origin story, which is in this book, and was excited that his ideas about food, health, and spirituality could be true. And some of those ideas are good: I have indeed seen positive results from cutting out dairy, eggs, grains, and lowering my meat intake.
However, this being the age of the internet, people are sharing their personal experiences with him. Many were disappointed by their reading with him, and there are some who got sicker following his advice. There shouldn't be a single instance from anyone of his advice not working. Then there is the obvious question of why he charges so much for personal sessions when the source of his knowledge is supposed to be "pure". Many of his recommendations are expensive, such as juicing daily or taking ten different supplements for one condition.
You're not a fool if you have believed him at some point. He is someone I do genuinely wish I could believe in - a person with a perfect answer to achieving health, given to us by God in plain language. But I'm afraid that AW is being unethical. He has even offered live sessions in exchange for positive reviews of his books. I don't know what his real goal is or when he decided he was going to get rich by being a world-famous guru, but I am hoping that he loses popularity soon, before too many other people suffer. Try to see past the times he talks about how much he cares about you or loves you...his actions are telling a different story.
