This pen will self destruct in 5, 4, 3...
When I first tried these pens, I thought they rocked how smooth they put down the ink and how lightly I can hold them, to finally gets some relief in my arm by not having to hold the writing instrument with a crush-stuff grip. Holding the instrument lightly makes a huge difference. The reason these get 2 stars is because they're extremely unreliable. They don't write on glossy paper, like at all. The ink apparently sees glossy paper and then promptly commits hari-kari to atone for its gross incompetence on a material roller pens are usually excellent for. Unfortunately that ritualistic suicide is extremely inconvenient for the person trying to write something. Lesson learned - if you use one of these pens, you have to keep a backup of a different kind of pen with you that doesn't self destruct when it runs into a common writing surface. Now, there is a distinct possibility that when this pen decided to quit on me, with the ink cartridge still pretty much FULL, that it was just that one pen that sucks royally, as the other two still seem to write smoothly, but Really??? "Buy two pens for the price of 3, oh and by the way, they may die on you randomly at an inconvenient time long before their ink runs out" Is it too much to ask for a Reliable smooth-writing pen that requires minimal grip force, doesn't smear, and has a thicker ergonomic grip that doesn't feel like you're pinching something tiny for hours on end? See photo, demonstrates identical pressure used to make same kind of marking with each of the 3 pens that came in the package. The markings correspond with the specific pen they came from.
