We generally buy everything Hayward for our pool. This spring when we opened our pool our heater that was not quite 2 years old was leaking— well actually—gushing out water. The warranty says 2 years on parts— but after calling the company we were told that the warranty isn’t valid because we installed it ourselves. Needless to say— having to spend close to $2000 every 2 years on a pool heater is unacceptable-especially since the company will find any excuse to not honor the warranty.
