My son insisted on having this for Christmas and I was hesitant based on reviews. I caved and bought it early so I could set it up and mess around with it before I have it as a Christmas gift. I had high hopes and after the initial set up that took about an hour (uggggg) I began my attempt at manuvering through the system. It’s VERY basic and childish. My son is only 6 and this is way below his skill set. The camera is a very poor quality, the options are too basic and the games seem more appropriate for a 3 year old. It’s also very glitchy! Multiple times it’s command was on a loop, like a skipping record, and I couldn’t get it to finish saying what it needed to say or even stop trying to! To “text” your parents, the adult needs to get a specific app (which is also difficult to use) and to set that up you have to pay a dollar to prove your an adult. Wait, what? Being the amazing mother I am, I used my inception skills and my son decided he didn’t want this and wanted something else more. Phew! Returned it before Christmas and I’m thrilled to be done with it. $100, not worth it! You could get a kindle for less than that and it would actually deliver on what it promises.
