Blocks 2 sensors on the controller by the trigger! Fatal flaw. Kiwi needs to update design
I'll preface this review by saying that I own the controller halo protectors by Kiwi, and their Elite headstrap. Both products are of quality and I'm very pleased. However, these controller grips are a serious disappointment. At least 2 sensors on the back of the controller are blocked by this grip, and while some people claim the sensors are unimportant, or don't cause them any problems, they are on the controller for a reason. If you search online for issues with tracking and these grips, you will even find a video demonstrating a "drifting issue" that can happen while playing Eleven Table Tennis, among other complaints. These are charged at a premium price point, and Kiwi appears to have considerable experience with their design for Oculus accessories, so shame on them for not having considered a very important aspect of the controllers (sensor visibility). Especially considering they revised this design with a battery compartment. Perfect time to reduce the width of the part gripping the ring of the controllers, or making these grips transparent. As for pros, these look great and they fit great. Battery cover is a good convenience. I'm not a huge fan of the grip being rigid but it still feels very nice. That's a personal choice. Regardless of how great these may look or feel, blocking ANY sensor on the controller makes this unusable for me. Especially for the price point and from such an otherwise fantastic company for accessories. I recommend you look elsewhere regardless of the good reviews. I decided to purchase the VR Cover knuckle grips instead and will be returning these unfortunately.
