When I purchased this I was skeptical - and rightfully so! It's just not possible for a cover to be both breathable and waterproof. Regardless, based on other reviews, I gave it a try. Unlike others I have used the water resistance persisted for far longer. Usually after just 2 or 3 dry cycles these end up being no better than a sheet, but after that many cycles this bled through just a little bit. Enough that putting two absorbant sham wows underneath mitigated the issue, so I bought a second. Well, after a month, neither are good anymore. See, I get night sweats and need to wash every other night, so with just 7 wash cycles each and sweating even a little bit gets my pillow top wet which is a real pain to wash and dry AND got stained really bad. I've given up expecting anything from these. They are absolute junk. They wouldn't even be able to handle the amount of liquid advertised. Maybe if they had extra padding on top the fluid could move across before going through and maybe if there was extra padding underneath it would avtui protect the bed for when this starts to fail, but even then this wouldn't be a good product. Why? Because it eventually will fail and you won't know until something is ruined. Honestly, a company shouldn't even be allowed to advertise waterproof when it can't guarantee it.
