Had these dumbbells for almost 10 years now. They proved to be very convenient for a home gym workout session with less clutter. For the years I had them I had no issues until today. One of the heavy plates slipped out of the bar while I was attempting to do barbell squats and nearly smashed my foot. It was a close call and lucky it didn't fall on me during my chest exercise! I have never dropped the weights and the weights don't wiggle around or seem loose at all. Be cautious if you had these for a long period of time. ***UPDATE*** Called Bowflex to see what they can do for me. After being connected to customer service, we found out that one of the discs had a crack causing the weight to fall off. Their solution is to purchase a new handle as they do not sell individual parts. The cost of a new handle is about $145 after tax and shipping. My main concern is that the warranty for the "NEW" handle is only 30 days. Not a year or 5 years. 30 days. To me it shows me that they do not have confidence in their product and is proven that this product is bound to fail. For long term and for own safety, I would recommend to look for another product.
