I've owned the OtterBox Defender cases for years with good success until now. The company has done away with the screen protector and the case does not overlap the screen the way they have in the past. Before the phone was recessed and the case sat higher than the screen, with an added plastic screen cover. Now the phone screen sits higher than the case and the case is recessed. The first time I dropped my phone the screen cracked. Sad to say this is nothing like the previous OtterBox Defender cases and I wouldn't recommend it for the Samsung S8 Plus. It's a poor design and it simply doesn't protect the phone. I had reservations, but I was a die-hard OtterBox fan, but they dropped the ball on this one. The case looks great, but it doesn't offer the protection. The infinity screen is completely exposed with zero protection from this case. Save your money and hopefully someone from Otterbox will read this and fix the problem instead of losing customers.
