Mad at myself
I have no one to be mad at but myself, I guess, for purchasing this. I sort of "collect" slow cookers, because I feel like you can't have too many as long as they serve a purpose and get used. I was so distracted by the stirring feature of this one that it never occurred to me to notice they sacrificed something in the process (for reasons I can't understand.) You have four choices of settings for this -- 4 or 6 hours on high or 8 or 10 hours on low. Nothing in between. And no automatic "warm" after the cooking time is complete. What a disappointment. What if I wanted six hours on low? Too bad. It doesn't exist. If you're home while you're cooking, of course you can just manually do what you need to ... but isn't one of the major points of this that you can set it and go off about your busy day at work or wherever and come home to a ready meal? Not with this one! C'mon, Crockpot. Why would you do that when you have already made ones that can be set at any time and either setting? What a step backward. I have advised folks against buying this until you resolve this issue. Or until you sell the iStir feature separately to be used on existing slow cookers. (UPDATE: I've probably only used this half a dozen time in the year and a half since I bought it, and it just quit working. Still powers on but absolutely will not hold a setting for longer than a couple seconds. Worthless now. Went straight in the trash.)
